Using Graduated neutral density filters. Bringing brighters areas such as the sky into the dynamic range of the film. HDR to an extent (not really fully) removes the need for such foresight (and very expensive filters!)...lucky us :)Natasha Mhatrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11507819348864032232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28723539.post-53670662807014849222007-06-27T18:25:00.000+01:002007-06-27T18:25:00.000+01:00Sorry I read it too fast... BTW, what do you think of HDR photography? Some of the examples on flickr seem quite spectacular, if somewhat artificial-looking.Rahul Siddharthanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04809667965184094636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28723539.post-77612580821270083652007-06-27T14:30:00.000+01:002007-06-27T14:30:00.000+01:00These are absolutely fabulous pictures. Post that one anyway, winner or not, after the results are declared.

To go back to an earlier discussion: the only one of these I saw and thought "I could have done that" was "Coming home to roost".
