Humour apart, the camera is important too isn't it? I can't see my mobile phone taking worthwhile pictures (though yours would still be better than mine).
Yes those are nice... the thing with my phone camera is the pics are really grainy, but if I shrink them to the size on the times page they're actually not so bad.
I found a very colourful (striped green and yellow) grasshopper-like creature on the front of my car the other day, probably you could identify it, and photographed it with my phone camera... the results are disappointing. By the time I could get the other camera it had vanished.
*lol* but seriously, for what you're trying to do, wildlife photography, you do need slightly better gear...not that what you have cant get the job done, just the improvement will be huge!

Well even camera phones take good pictures. Camera are just different, better or worse for some kinds of pictures, not inherently so.

To be honest there are people who deliberately handicap themselves to see what that might lead to...all those pinhole photography practitioners....
