I can't seem to access blogspot (or typepad) in IISc over some of last week and this one. So I hope those who read this site have feeds or know how to get around the block. Just google blogspot blocked and you'll get the cheats, posted when GOI decided to do the same.
I wonder whether it's the traffic watchers in SERC or the content watchers elsewhere....hmmm....Or off course technical glitches somewhere. IISc is not usually heavy-handed and blocks few things. Except off course images/files that have the words s*x, etc in them. Which is fun and games for reproductive biologists and people like me who work on cricket s*x! ('Long' distance foreplay actually.)

I don't think it's the content watchers elsewhere -- looks like a local IISc thing. On a visit to IISc some time back, I was unable to read a financial article on rediff: I figured it was because of the last three letters in "Sensex", and mailed the ECE crowd, and they unblocked it.
There are lots of sites to let you read blogspot blogs -- one was set up by our friendly neighbours, who have bigger problems with censorship than we do... But I don't know if you can post via those sites.
Oh most things I read through google reader now, so it's not really a problem. Its only one site where the feed reader seems to now have a problem picking up images. considering its a blog abt photography, this is a mite irritating.
I've mailed the SERC folks, lets see what they say. They've acknowledged my mail saying its been forwarded to the appropriate people. Will post the response when I get it.
I find impulses to block whole domains a bit strange though...can't imagine requests to them they take up too much of our bandwidth...so the only reasons can be either a mistake or for reasons of content/form.
I'm actually posting the comment through the link you sent which i did know about...
